This is the first entry for the RESOURCES section – a exclusive collection of PDFs, reviews and other materials to accelerate your professional development. These are the gems that many senior leaders have not been exposed to. And it’s for you!

Fighting Power is one of my favorite reads, as well as one of the most important reads on understanding leadership. It’s been, to me, a great aid in understanding how to assess leaders. The value lies in the ability to mentally see ALL the areas that leaders touch and are influenced by.

The content is unique. The book relies on the research of several post-war quantitative analysis. Considering the qualitative fluff that masquerades as leader material today, the book is quite refreshing in its seemingly objective analysis.

Bottomline: if you’re interesting in appearing at least serious about leadership development, then this book provides some value insights into what to look for – and even measure – in the pursuit of developing effective leaders.

Three factors shaping leadership:

  1. Aims
  2. Relationships
  3. Organizational complexity
